Last week was our quarterly meeting, and we had a company-wide warm and fuzzy feeling from getting everyone together in person, sharing our achievements, and cooking up grand plans for the next quarter. Our farmhouse office felt like a fantastic place to work with a great team.
You wouldn’t be unreasonable, though, to point out that perhaps we don’t have the most objective opinion on what it is like to work here. That’s why we asked Great Place to Work to rate us objectively, and we’re delighted to say that Versantus has been awarded their Great Place to Work certification for the second year running.
Great Place To Work is a global certification based on current employee feedback. We chose this quality benchmark because their values align so closely with our own company values of being good, learning, quality and collaboration. Having Great Place To Work Certification gives us some much-valued independent feedback that our team members:
- Trust the people they work for and are treated with respect and fairness
- Have pride in the work of their team and in their individual impact
- Feel that they work in a community with friendly and supportive colleagues
Obviously having a happy team isn’t something that we can rest on our laurels over and the certification process also highlights where we can make improvements. We have used the feedback from last year’s certification survey to make changes, including adding private healthcare cover to our employee benefits, improving our internal communication strategies and introducing a range of new training and development opportunities, including technical certifications and high-level apprenticeships.
Our Managing Director Matt Gilbert says, “Maintaining a Great Place to Work takes dedication from everyone. I'm incredibly proud of how our team supports each other, takes pride in their work, and continues to build a positive and collaborative culture at Versantus”.
